Zempoala aqueduct, State of Hidalgo, Mexico. Friar Francisco Tembleque, engineer, 1553 - 1570. Designed to carry water from the source in one mountain range to the City of Otumba (approx. 27 miles) using technology from the Aztecs as well as that brought to the Americas by early Spanish settlers and military.
